Nikolai Vasil'evich Zaretskii Papers, 1795-1959.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, subject files, and printed materials of Zaret︠s︡kiĭ. There are letters to Zaret︠s︡kiĭ from Mstislav Dobuzhinskiĭ, Vasiliĭ Kandinskiĭ, Boris Panteleĭmonov, and Alekseĭ Remizov, and one letter each from Vladislav Khodasevich and Evgeniĭ Zami︠a︡tin. There are also "gramoty" prepared by Remizov for Zaret︠s︡kiĭ. In Zaret︠s︡kiĭ's collected materials in the field of 19th and 20th century Russian culture there are items by such figures as: Sergeĭ Di︠a︡gilev, Sergeĭ Esenin, Mikhail Pogodin, Afanasiĭ Shenshin (Fet), Petr Vi︠a︡zemskiĭ, Maksimili︠a︡n Voloshin, and Andreĭ Zhukovskiĭ. The collection also includes Zaret︠s︡kiĭ's personal and professional correspondence from the 1920's through the 1950's; manuscripts and notes by Zaret︠s︡kiĭ; his personal documents; materials on exhibits arranged by Zaret︠s︡kiĭ on such topics as Aleksandr Pushkin, drawings by Russian writers, and Russian soldiers as authors; and inscribed books by Remizov and Vi︠a︡zemskiĭ.
